Ear Surgery (Otoplasty)

Prominent ears can detract from the natural beauty of the face.

Otoplasty, also known as ear pinning, is a transformative ear surgery that involves reducing the prominence of the ears and restoring facial harmony.

Understanding Otoplasty

Otoplasty is performed through discreet incisions hidden behind the ear. With precision, ear prominence is reduced and natural folds that may be absent are restored, resulting in a balanced and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Following the procedure, a bandage is applied and worn for one week to facilitate proper healing.

What type of anesthesia is required for Otoplasty?

Many of our clients find the combination of oral sedation with local anesthetic during the Otoplasty to be a comfortable procedure. However, it can also be performed under general anesthesia for those who prefer to be asleep for the surgery.

What is the recovery following Otoplasty?

Following Otoplasty, some bruising and swelling may occur, but these will diminish significantly within 2-3 weeks. Small amounts of swelling can persist beyond this time but won’t hinder you returning to normal activities.
